Jim Morrison & The Doors - An American Prayer 
1978年にリリースされたドアーズのアルバム。本作はドアーズの解散から6年後にレイ・マンザレク、ロビー・クリーガー、ジョン・デンスモアの三名がジム・モリソンの詩の朗読テープにバック・トラックを録音した物。 
　1978年リリースなので死後7年の作品だ。ジム・モリソンの死後ドアーズは三人でAOR的な音を出したアルバムを2枚リリースしていたが泣かず飛ばずに終わり解散状態だった。ジム・モリソンが残したテープを整理しているウチに未発表の詩の朗読がいくつも発見されたことから、ジム・モリソンがやりたがっていた詩の朗読のバックに音楽を付けると言う作業をバンドはやってみることにした。当然ながらバンドはジム・モリソンの呼吸やメロディセンスを知っていたことで、その作業に着手してみるとまるでドアーズの再生のように作品が仕上がっていったと言う。
