ジョージ・バクスター『The Lover´s Letter Box』

イギリスの版画家ジョージ・バクスター（George Baxter, 1804-1867）のアンテーク・オリジナル色彩版画です。バクスターは、カラー印刷を商業的なレベルで初めて成功させたパイオニアで「バクスター法」と呼ばれる特殊な技法を用いた色彩版画家です。バクスター法は、現代では考えられないほど手間のかかる方法で刷られており、単なる印刷技術にとどまらない芸術的な魅力を放っています。
